In southern France, I walked up from the 'new' village of Vernegues to the old village that was destroyed by

Glen Etive
The glen is the next valley south from the more visited Glencoe but is my favourite. The river runs west out to the sea.

In A Welsh Valley
The narrow road from Dinas Mawddwy to Llanuwchllyn has several deep and wooded valleys

Mont St Victoire
It was a real privilage to visit Aix, and Cezanne's home, and then walk in the area below the mountain. The
light that far south is clear and bright.

Norfolk Broads Sky
Being a very flat county, Norfolk is famous for its big skies. Combined with the Broads the area has many painting opportunities.

This view includes the church tower at Holme-next-the-Sea on the North Norfolk coast. Wild and windy weather.

Cheshire Farm View
This farm is close to the town where I spent most of my childhood. The distant hill is Kinder Scout, a high point in the Penines.

The walk is near Dollgelau in mid-Wales. In the distance is the coats at Barmouth.
